nativity exhibit
yeah, i know, it’s very braggy and all about me, but i didn’t know i could do it. you’ve seen my house. well, maybe you haven’t, but it’s not like you’ve missed anything. i don’t have any decorating skills. the pictures in my closet haven’t been put on the walls and we’ve lived here almost 7 years. so when they asked me to do the stage and the piano - i was just a little nervous. that’s why i wasn’t home and i was ordering pizza and microwaving nuggets. fyi - that’s tom’s sofa table in the foreground of the photo. i had some kids sit on the stage so i could see how it would look. we added poinsettias to the corners and floor after this, but i didn’t take a picture. i was all ready to, but then my children didn’t arrive to play mary and joseph and i just took my camera back home. i showed them.

i was asked to make the piano look nice as well. that’s my ‘nice’ music stand - why does the church has such nasty ones when it didn’t cost me much to get a good one? and that is my new tree on the table behind the piano (on the left). it seems i get something new every year for me (for the exhibit!) and it was a tree this year. i now own 3. tall, medium, and squatty. why? i don’t know except that a real 6 foot tree in texas costs $100. and no, we can’t go cut our own.
anyway, that’s done, and it actually snowed here the morning of dec. 2nd. previously we had been swimming in our pool in 70 degree weather. hmmm. notice the lovely weeds - hence, the request for a finished backyard!
